| Three blocks from the Convention Center and City Hall, less than a third of a mile from the Cedars Light rail station which stops at the Convention Center and connects with the Trinity Railway Express that takes guests on to DFW Airport and Fort Worth. Moreover, Amelia’s Place is on three bus lines taking you anywhere in the city. For bus and railway information visit www.DART.org. |

Amelia welcomes people of any color, unmarried couples, same-sex couples, smokers. Amelia’s place is not suitable for children, pets, snobs, bigots, nor fanatics. Amelia especially enjoys people who possess the attributes of intelligence, integrity, and compassion, so, please, leave your prejudices at home.
Amelia’s marvelous library in the foyer is for use. There are books, games, magazines, etc. everywhere at Amelia’s Place. Relax and enjoy! |

| elia, a feminist from Louisiana and said to be the best cook in three parishes, serves a breakfast so Good and so Big ( a specialty is buttermilk biscuits) that you can skip lunch and free Happy Hour in her apartment. You may arrange to take potluck with Amelia if you like. There are, however, several places in the neighborhood where you can get good, inexpensive food: Standard and Pours Coffee House, the Southside Grill, and Lee Harvey’s Bar and Eatery are all within steps. Or you can go to Main Street a mile away and eat at fancier and more costly places. |
