Geographical Settings  The Emmerson Inn by the sea, a Rockport Massachusetts hotel, is Cape Ann’s only historic grand hotel. Referred to by many as a “baby grand,” this lovely Rockport inn is an historic gem. Thirty-six beautifully appointed rooms have been restored to reflect the quality of yesteryear, and with amenities that discerning travelers seek today, including private baths, spa tubs, private enclosed balconies, televisions and telephones. Two vacation rental cottages adjacent to the inn offer the ideal surroundings for family vacations and reunions or corporate retreats, with decks, oceanview yards and even a back yard BBQ.   Policies   On-line reservation available  Major Credit Cards accepted  Non-Smoking  No Pets on Site No Elevator Although we do not have an elevator, we are happy to carry your luggage to your room. If climbing stairs is a challenge for you, we do have accommodations available on the first floor of the inn. Breakfast Room rates include a full, hot breakfast from May through October; and include a deluxe continental breakfast from November through April. House rental rates do not include breakfast. Room Rates All rates are per room, per night, double occupancy, and are subject to Massachusetts rooms tax of 9.7%. Most rooms can not accommodate more than two (2) guests. Where triple or quad occupancy is possible, the charge for each extra person (infant, child, or adult) is $25 per night plus tax, and must be arranged in advance. Advanced Deposits A 100% deposit is required for one-night and two-night stays; a three-night deposit is required when a three night minimum stay is in effect; a 50% deposit is required for stays of 5 nights or more. A credit card deposit will be charged to your card immediately on the day your reservation is taken. The remaining balance is due upon arrival. All reservation confirmations are subject to our receipt of your deposit, which will be applied to the last night(s) of your reservation. Payment We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and Carte Blanche. Minimum Stay A two night minimum stay is required on weekends, May through October. A three night minimum stay is required on holiday weekends and special events.
